    September 17, 2016

All the action unfolded early this year at the Swatch Women's Pro. From early morning free surfs to an intense final matchup the Top 17 women held nothing back this time. Current world number one, Tyler Wright charged her way into the final taking out event wildcard Bethany Hamilton along the way. California's Sage Erickson and Australia's Nikki Van Dijk gave incredible performances each with a semifinal finish. Meanwhile 6x world champion, Stephanie Gilmore found herself in her first final of the year since returning after injury. However it was Wright took home her fourth win of the year taking out fellow Aussie and friend, Gilmore. Tyler continues to sit comfortably at number one and now her first world title is well within reach as the tour now heads to Europe.
